Özge Öner, University of Cambridge, was awarded the Young Researcher Award for her research about the geographical aspects of entrepreneurship (e.g. in retail), entrepreneurship among foreign-born, and the role of local institutions for the business environment. The Award is bestowed annually to a young promising researcher that has distinguished themselves within the area of entrepreneurship and small business. The prize is accompanied by a sum of 150 000 SEK, donated by Triton Advisers (Sweden) AB.

The geographical aspects of entrepreneurship remain fundamental, despite increasing digitalization. Success begets success, failure begets failure, and entrepreneurship begets entrepreneurship, said Öner during her presentation.
